Davy Jones

Davy has worked in the film industry now for over 20 years. Not being satisfied with being a well regarded hair and make-up artist he decided to diversify and steer his career path down the dark tunnels of Prosthetic and SFX make-up, each one housing a different monster, dead body or weird and wonderful creature.

Not only recognised as one of the country’s finest prosthetics experts Davy is known for his professional yet fun approach to work and teaching. Makeup Artist Training Prosthetics SFX Belfast Dublin

Davy is now firmly established  as one of the industry's most respected Prosthetic Designers and in 2004, evidence of which was awarding of an Emmy for his work on 'The Life and Death of Peter Sellers'. Since then he also picked up a Royal Television Society Award for 'Bodies', plus two more nominations for 'Hyperdrive' and 'Apparitions' and also a welsh BAFTA  for his work on 'Dr. Who'.

Maria Malone-Guerbaa

Makeup Artist Maria Malone-Guerbaa - a viral sensation with 170,000 followers on Instagram - has appeared on a variety of television shows such as This Morning, The One Show and in hundreds of newspapers and magazines showcasing her unbelievable transformations.


What makes Maria Malone’s face painting technique so unique is that she is able to achieve such radical, hauntingly realistic looks without the use of any prosthetics - Maria simply uses colour and greyscale Kryolan face-paint to create her unique FX illusions through shadowing, shading and other techniques.

Originally from Limerick, the London-based artist is widely known for her work which uses only face paint to transform her face into that of Nelson Mandela, Angelina Jolie, Freddie Mercury and even The Queen.

Benjamin Robin

Hailing from LA, Emmy nominated Makeup and Hair Designer, Benjamin Robin has taught a weeklong course with Titanic Creative Management in in everything from Silent Movie to HD makeup and ageing techniques right through to hair, SFX and prosthetic makeup to create injuries and wounds, the history of makeup and much more at Titanic Creative Management.
Ben Robin is known for his work on CSI Las Vegas, CSI New York and for over 60 Hollywood films in his career.

Brian Kinney

 

Primetime Emmy nominated Makeup Artist, Brian Kinney, has worked on productions such as Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men and even Hunger Games; but he is renowned for his MUA SFX prosthetics staple: the Hurt Box.

A Journeyman in IATSE Local 706 Make-up Artists and Hairstylists Guild, Brian serves as Makeup Craft Coordinator and Executive Board Member. For more than fifteen years he has been professionally working in film, television, theatre, and print.

Since training at the Delamar Academy in London, England, Brian has made his mark in FX labs, on set, and in classrooms across the North America and Europe. His work can be seen regularly in feature films and television shows, such as Purge: Anarchy, CSI, and Hunger Games: Mockingjay.

Neill Gorton

Founder of The Gorton Studio & Millennium FX, Neill has won 11 major awards for shows such as Doctor Who, The Catherine Tate Show, Bodies and Being Human.


Since his career began in 1987 he has worked on hundreds of productions with performers such as Sir Michael Caine and Lady Gaga, directors such as Steven Spielberg and impresarios like Sir Andrew Lloyd-Webber.  

Neill is responsible the design of most of the iconic Doctor Who villains and monsters, including the modern version of Davros. BAFTA and RTS Awards winner, Gorton is also a director of Millennium FX, which focuses on cutting edge prosthetics, animatronics, and special make-up FX.

He is also the director of the Gorton Studio and a visiting professor at the University of Bolton.

Dan Frye

Dan Frye is a noted SFX makeup artist, prop maker and model maker known for his work on Game of Thrones (2015),Prometheus (2012), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (2010 + 2011), Shaun of the Dead (2004) amongst many other films and television series'.


Dan has worked in NYC, Los Angeles and London in Film and TV for the last 30 years.

Don Lanning

Master character designer and sculptor Don Lanning is one of 'go-to guys' for some Hollywood's biggest sci-fi and fantasy blockbusters for over three decades!

Andrew Whiteoak

Over a varied 20 year career at The Birmingham Rep Theatre amongst others Andrew has designed and created wigs, make-up and hair designs for hundreds of productions including Cabaret, The Wizard of Oz, 12 Angry Men, East is East, The Witches, Noises Off, Of Mice and Men, Little Shop of Horrors, The Crucible and Peter Pan to name but a few.

Many of the shows Andrew has worked on have transferred to the West End and toured the UK and internationally.
Andrew has designed and created styles for countless actors and entertainers including Maureen Lipman, Dame Eileen Atkins, Jason Donovan, Rupert Everett , Martin Freeman , Jeff Fahey , Martin Shaw , Nick Moran ,Mark Williams, Gary Barlow, Stephanie Beacham , Charles Dance, Stephanie Powers , Josie Lawrence, Kelly McGillis, David Essex,Simon Callow, Anita Dobson and Matthew Kelly.

Danny Marie Elias


Danny Marie Elias is not only a qualified teacher but also an experienced hair and prosthetics artist for film and TV as well as fashion and media. Recent screen credits include BBC’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The X Factor, Sherlock, Indian Doctor, Casualty, Wizards vs Aliens, Doctor Who and Frankenstein. Danny is also a member of the Professional Leadership Academy at the University of Bedfordshire, representing special FX make-up.

Recent fashion and editorial work includes publications such as FaceON, EDGE, The Guardian, Vogue Italia Online, Men’s Health and Cliché. Danny began teaching for a College where she taught specialist media make-up courses, she is also a part of It’s My Shout Productions, training young make-up artists through the making of award-winning short films in association with BBC Wales, S4C, the UK Film Council, the Arts Council of Wales and ITV.

Mark Maher

Mark has an extensive portfolio of work that is truly stunning - ranging from scale models for Lake Town and Orc Weapons in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey to prosthetic makeups and hyper-realistic props for Sky Atlantic hit Penny DreadfulMark Maher is one of the industry's top Model, Prosthetic and Prop Makers. He has worked on various huge blockbusters such as The HobbitTim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, Dracula Untold, Vikings and Penny Dreadful.

Stuart Bray

Stuart Bray is a freelance special effects makeup artist working in the film and television industry since 1994. During that time he has worked on a number of features including Saving Private Ryan, The Mummy 1 & 2, Gladiator, Blade 2, Shaun of the Dead and Stardust, 47 Ronin and most recently on Season 4 of the HBO show Game of Thrones working for Barrie Gower. He specializes in all the processes involved in making prosthetic appliances and make-up effects from design, sculpting, moulding, casting and application.

Over the last several years he has also been a visiting tutor for a number of makeup schools as well as running his own special effects workshops. He created the online ecourse 'How to make & apply AWESOME latex prosthetics... without using a lifecast!' and has recently released the 'Spectacular Sculpt Gel™' DVD.

Richard Martin 

Richard Martin has been working in the Film and TV industry since 2009. He has established himself as an artist able to create stunningly lifelike statues and busts for collectors, museums and the medical industry. In the last several years he has been involved in many freelance and on set make-up work including A Fantastic Fear of EverythingDoctor WhoCasualty, Lady Gaga’s 'Born This Way' video and Wizards Vs Aliens. More recent movie credits include Hercules,Victor Frankenstein and Assassin’s Creed.

 Adrian Rigby

Adrian Rigby has worked in the industry for over two decades. First major work on a feature was Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, in 2001 for Nick Dudman's Makeup FX and Creature dept. Continued to work for Nick on the
subsequent Potter films with various freelance work in between and
since. Including projects for Neill Gorton's Millennium Fx, KMFX and also
working for Mark Coulier's Coulier Creatures company on many various
projects, including Merlin, World War Z, Atlantis, Heart of The Sea, Eastenders and Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them
More recent projects include work for Barrie Gower FX on projects including A Cure Fore Wellness and Game of Thrones Seasons 4 - 7.
Additionally, dailies on many productions including upcoming releases: The Mummy, Transformers and Star Wars: Episode 8: The Last Jedi.'
