IS THIS COURSE FOR ME? Any artist working in TV, theatre and film with makeup and hair NEEDS to know how to apply, colour and remove a bald cap professionally. This skill is in high demand. Its an added bonus to know how to make one from scratch and will really boost your CV!
Creating and applying bald caps is an art form. Bald caps are key in creating receding hairlines and ageing makeup, characters such as aliens and more - The more convincing your bald cap, the more flawless your finished work.
This course will focus on the creation of latex bald caps. Students will learn about associated products and their properties, making latex caps, using contemporary techniques to create a custom-fit cap using a pattern, how to seamlessly apply a bald cap, develop finishing skills and coloring techniques.
Adrian Rigby will also demonstrate how to creative a Bald Cap using Cap Plastic - a materials used mostly in TV & Film production to create these pieces.

A disguise makeup I was involved with last weekend, working with @emmajslater for Dan Martin @13fingerfx Thanks for getting me involved. I was responsible for Conor Maynard. Reality makeups can always be tricky once they've left the makeup chair, you don't get chance to check the makeup. Good fun and they both loved it. I applied the baldcap. #makeup #makeupartist #baldcap #disguise #realitytv #themaynards #themaynardbrothers #capitalfm #conormaynard #prostheticmakeupartist @capitalofficial @conormaynard
